Mission Statement

To promote Niagara-on-the-Lake as a premier Bed & Breakfast destination.

About the Association

The Niagara-on-the-Lake Bed & Breakfast Association is a not-for-profit organization whose members are principal residents in private dwellings offering accommodation for overnight guests. Board members are volunteers elected from the membership.

We are the largest regional or municipal association of Bed and Breakfasts in Canada. While the Association strives to promote, represent and educate our members, our most important responsibility is to our guests and to our community.

Our priority is to ensure that each home provides every guest with a wonderful experience. Each B&B is dedicated to providing comfort, cleanliness and warm hospitality.

Requirements for Membership

The applicant must hold a current Bed & Breakfast, Cottage or Country Inn licence issued by the Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake, and meet all the by-law, public health, and fire and emergency services standards required for the licence.

The applicant must comply with the “Code of Ethics” of the Association, which is included in this material.

The applicant is required to pay an annual membership fee.

Reservation Services: As a member, you can be part of a telephone booking/ referral service advertised on the website. A professional customer service representative will assist visitors in finding accommodation with our members.

Partner Program: The Marketing Directors have established a program of partnering with restaurants and other businesses. You and your guests will benefit by the coupon discounts offered by our partners.

Restaurant Menu Book: All members receive a copy of restaurant menus that are invaluable in assisting guests in making dining reservations. Annual updates are provided.

Town & Government Liaison: The Association has attained a highly respected voice in the community as a strong advocacy group representing the best interests of our members. Ongoing interaction with Town & Government officials takes place regularly.

Annual General Meeting: The Annual General Meeting for the membership provides a forum for the Directors to report on the activities of the previous year; exchange ideas with the members, and make plans for the following year.
